Corn and ice cream: BFF

Mmm... really makes you wish you were in Thailand, doesn't it? Because there's no getting that dessert back home.

And yes, that's a KFC logo that some of your eagle eyes may have spotted in the corner.

OMG. Please tell me that's really supposed to be mashed potatoes, made to look all pretty. Who in their right mind would put corn on ice cream? Who? Only a sick mo-fo...that's who.

Oh no, it's ice cream all right. Corn is a common ingredient in dessert over here. During the meditation retreat, they had this dessert with corn and bits of coconut, topped with condensed coconut milk. To my amazement, it was actually one of the best things they served all week. Not that that's saying much.
